The Analysis of Virtual Human Resource by Transaction Cost Theory

Abstract:
The mechanism, which firm utilizes virtual human resource(VHR) is studied. First, the cost of VHR is analyzed according to the transaction cost theory. Second, the size of VHR is studied. In the end, the environment of corporation governance, which affects the transaction cost of VHR, is researched. On the assumption that the human resources are the same pay and offer to firm whether the human resources are VHR or firm's formal personnel, we give conclusions as follows. 1) When firm employs the human resources as VHR, not as formal personnel, transaction cost of VHR is fewer than that of formal personnel. 2) The VHR's marginal transaction cost is the same as formal personnel's when the structure of firm's human resource is optimal.
