EWMA Control Chart and Its Performance Analysis in Part Group Manufacturing

Group technology is recognized as one of the most important methods for modern manufacturing industries. This paper discusses how to control process quality with EWMA control chart and proposes the strategy of forming a part family and applying to it a unify EWMA control chart technique. It also accentuates on the effects of statistical cluster conditions on EWMA control chart. Finally, the basic criteria and the steps of application of statistical cluster are introduced.
