Key Spare-roll Vendor Selection for a Large-Scale Steel-iron Enterprise
|
Abstract:
The problem of the key spare-roll vendor selection for the large-scale iron-steel enterprise is studied based on the interval numbers analytic hierarchy process. Roll venll vendor selection should be formulated as a multiple criteria decision-making problem since the purchaser must consider the performance, price, quality, delivery and service, etc synthetically. In addition, the roll vendor selection problem becomes more complex because of the continuity of iron-steel production procedure, the dispersion of the vendors, and the strict requirements to quality. The interval numbers can express the decision-maker's preference more flexible and it is adapt to the decision-making problem under the uncertainty. Therefore, the interval numbers analytic hierarchy process is adopted to solve the roll vendor selection. However, the weight approaches deriving from the interval numbers comparison matrix aren't perfect. Mikhailv had put forward a new weight approach recently. It was simple and practicable, but its membership function was faultiness. To solve the problem, the correction of that approach is made. Then it is adopted as the roll vendor selection for a large-scale iron-steel enterprise in China.
