Failure Mode and Cause Analysis of CNC Lathe

For this analyses, field failure data have been collected over a period of two years on 82 CNC machine tools, and the data base of reliability has been builted. This paper describes in details the failure positions, causes modes and their frequency of CNC lathe,points out the most weak link of the lathe, so as to provide with the basis for the reliability analyses and design.
