EXCHANGE AND COMPETITION ON GENERAL COMMODITY SPACES
|
Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to study the exchange activities and competitive equilibria in general commodity spaces by using the method of nonstandard analysis. An exchange economy model is established on an internal normed Riesz space with a hyperfinite number of trders. It describes such an economy in which each trader is a price-taker whose weight is negligible in the entire market. The set of all traders is then an atomless Loeb measure space. The main result is the existence theorem of competitive equilibria in this economy.
