GIS-Based Three-Dimension Dynamic Visual Simulation for Concrete Dam Construction Process

Abstract:
To simplify the simulation modeling for the concrete dam construction process of the hydroelectric engineering, and realize the visualization of the complex dynamic space\|time relationship among construction works, this paper presents a new method called GIS\|based three\|dimension dynamic visual simulation for concrete dam construction process. After being calculated and analyzed the dam construction parameters under different construction conditions respectively, the reasonable construction schedule is obtained. And based on the digital model of the concrete dam construction system, which is created with GIS technique, the three\|dimension process of dam construction is displayed dynamically. The approach described in the paper provides a powerful visually analyzing tool for the design and organization of dam construction.
