MODIFIED TIKHONOV REGULARIZATION AND THE OPTIMUM ASYMPTOTIC ORDER OF REGULARIZED SOLUTION

Abstract With the aid of regularizing filters, a new class of regularization methodscalled the modified Tikhonov regularization for solving the first kind of operator equations withperturbed operators and noisy data are constructed. By choosing the regularization parametersappropriately, the convergence and optimum asymptotic order of the regularized solution isobtained.
