A NECESSARV AND SUFFICIENT CONDITION FOR THE EXISTENCE OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO A CLASS OF SINGULAR SECOND-ORDER BOUNDARV VALUE PROBLEMS
|
Abstract:
This paper studies the C10, 1] positive solutions of a class of second-order boundary value problems u" a(t)f(u) b(t)g(u) = 0, u(0) - A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of C1 0, 1] positive solutions is obtained under the condition that f and g are all superlinear (sublinear), or one is superlinear, the other is sublinear, which generalizes and includes some known results.
