ASYMPTOTIC ANALYSIS AND OSCILLATORY PROPERTIES OF THE LOGISTSC MODEL OF AGE-DEPENDENT POPULATION GROWTH

Abstract:
We study the asymptotic and oscillatory properties of the logistic model of age-dependentpopulation dynamics.It is shown that under some conditions on the logistic term the limit ofthe population state exists when time goes to infinity.An interesting result for the linearcase is also proved:if the total population converges to an equilibrium it will do so in an oscilla-tory fashion.
