The Shift of Shock Location for a Class of Nonlinear Boundary Value Problems

Under the appropriate conditions the shift of shock location for a class of nonlinear problems is considered by using the singularly perturbed theory and by introducing the technique of adjustment function. The influence of the boundary conditions on the shock locations is discussed. It is shown that a small change of the boundary conditions may lead to a big chang of the shoch location, even to the change of properties of the internal layer or boundary layer.
