MAXIMAL LIKELIHOOD CORRECTION FOR BINARY ERRORCONTAINING LINEAR SEQUENCES

Abstract:
In this paper,the maximal likelihood algorithm for correcting error-containing linearsequences over GF (2) is investigated.The error transferring function is determined and thecritical success/failure criterion of the algorithm is derived.Finally,the convergence/diver-gence theorem for iterated applications of the algorithm is proved.
