A TRACKING METHOD FOR A MANEUVERABLE REENTRY TARGET

Abstract:
An adaptive filtering method for real-time tracking of a reentry target maneuverable by airforce is presented in this paper. The X~2 distribution method is used to detect the maneuver of the target and simultaneously the prediction residues in the three directions of airforce are used to decide the maneuvering manner, so as to modify the original model of the target. The variation matching method is also appied to estimate the variation matrices of model noises due to maneuver. Simulation oa computer shows that this method is successful for the tracking of this kind of maneuverable targets.
