MULTILEVEL CORRECTION FOR COLLOCATION SOLUTIONS OF VOLTERRA DELAY-INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

Abstract:
In this paper the continuous piecewise polynomial spline collocation method for linear Volterra delay-integro-different equation is discussed. It is shown that the first derivative of the corresponding collocation solution admits, under suitable assumptions, a precise error expansion at the knots. Based on this expansion, a multilevel correction estimate of this collocation solution is obtained.
