Sub-femtosecond passive synchronization of Ti:sapphire lasers

Abstract:
Two independent femtosecond Ti:sapphire lasers are passively synchronized by an enhanced cross-phase-modulation technique. The synchronization operation is maintained over 24 h with a timing jitter of 0 78 fs.
