Gain enhancement by chopping technology in a photorefractive composite

We measured the gain efficiency in PVK:5CB:C 60 composite by two wave mixing and carried out enhancement of the gain efficiency through chopping technique. Also, we studied the relations of the optimal chopping frequency and gain efficiency at the optimal chopping frequency with three experimental parameters: external applied electric field, total incident intensity, and grating wave vector.
