Dependence of polar Kerr effect on electron spin exchange splitting

The four level transition atomic model is dealt with by pure quantum theory.The effect of spin exchange splitting on the Kerr rotation is investigated.The relation between Kerr rotation and the electron exchange splitting energy is generally nonlinear,and their linear relationship exists only when the splitting energy is very small.
