Simulation of lower hybrid current drive

Abstract:
Resolving the two dimensional Fokker Planck equation, evolutions of the driven current and its profile on HT 7 tokamak are obtained. The simulated results are nearly in agreement with the experimental data, which supplies a theoretical guidance for lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) experiments on HT 7 tokamak. In addition, the effect of radial diffusion of fast electrons on the driven current during LHCD is considered by means of solving the current diffusion equation.
