A link between chaos dynamics and the onset of turbulence in a transitional boundary layer

A careful chaotic dynamic analysis on a transitional boundary layer shows the existence of the strange attractor in the total transitional processes. Both the instability theory and nonlinear chaotic system analysis show the processes is deterministic instead of random. Therefore, a link between the chaos and the transition in a boundary layer is established.
