Integrating factors and conservation laws for the Raitzin''s canonical equations of motion of nonconservative dynamical systems
|
Abstract:
A general approach to the construction of conservation laws for classical nonconservative dynamical systems was presented. First, the definition of integrating factors was given. Next, necessary conditions for the existence of conserved quantities were studied in detail. Then the conservation theorem and its inverse for the Raitzin's canonical equations of motion of nonconservative dynamical systems were established. Finally, an example to illustrate the application of the result wsa given.
