Abstract:

Two bacteria strains marked AS and CS, producing 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase, were isolated from wheat rhizosphere of drought soil. The activity of ACC deaminase from AS and CS strains was 0.018 6 U/mg and 0.016 7 U/mg protein, respectively. Based on the cultural morphological features as well as physiological and biochemical parameters in combination with 16S rDNA sequence analysis and sequence homology analysis, the strain AS and CS were identified as Enterobacter hormaechei and Serratia proteamaculans, respectively.
