THE GEOCHEMICAL FEATURES AND ITS ENVIRONMENTAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SINIAN CARBONATES IN THE JILIN-LIAONING AREA
|
Abstract:
This paper analyzed samples selected from 5 sinian sections developed Molar Tooth carbonates by fluorescent spectroscopic analysis in the Ji-Liao area. These samples contain 9 kinds lithology and 4 types of Micro-facies developed in the studied area and reflected roundly the geochemical features of carbonates and their environment significance. Based on the correlation analysis for the testing result, systemically discusses the correlativity between oxides of Carbonates, that is, SiO_(2), Al_(2)O_(3) and P_(2)O_(5) is positive correlativity with K_(2)O, TFe_(2)O_(3) and TiO_(2), but is negative with Ca; Na_(2)O is lightly and positively correlated with MgO, Sr and Ba and negatively correlated with Ca too; Sr and Ba behave positive correlativity with Al_(2)O_(3), P_(2)O_(5), K_(2)O, TiO_(2), moreover,Ba is positively sorrelated with FeO, while Mn is positively correlated with FeO only. The paper analyzed the relationship between the contents of oxides and sedimentary environment, especially make clear some phenomenon, such as contents of the terrigenous components (for example, K_(2)O) increase, the values of Ca/Mg decline and the content of Sr or the ratio of Sr/Ca adds from the intertidal zone to the deeper ramp, which indicates the special geochemical environment.
