EXPLORATION TECHNIQUES IN LITHOLOGIC RESERVOIRS

On the basis of the review of present exploration situation and prospecting of litho-stratigraphic reservoirs in main oil-gas bearing basins of China continent. The author systemically concluded the recent advances of the exploration techniques of litho stratigraphic reservoirs. The result shows that on the basis of microfacies analysis and stratigraphic sequence study, the synthetic evaluation of seismic multiparameters is an effective approach in litho-stratigraphic reservoir exploration. In this method, the key techniques are as following, microfacies, high-resolution stratigraphic sequence, seismic facies, general and unusual reservoir prediction, seismic attributes, fluid trend analysis, oil-gas detection and 3D visualization etc.
