In the base of the evaluative criterion of the threshold value of organic abundance of carbonate rocks, this paper discussed thoroughly the evaluative problems of the value of organic abundance ,Combined with the development characteristics of marine strata in middle Yangtze area ,and from the point of view of source rock, we placed emphasis on analyzing the perspective of oil exploration of marine strata in this area.
