EXPERIMENTAL SIMULATION FOR THE FORMING MECHANISM OF DEEP BASIN GAS TRAP

"Deep basin gas trap" is a special kind of one, its most important characteristic is water and gas convert. The result of simulation experiment show the forming process of water and gas convert can be reconstructed in lab; the finer of the sand granularity is, the more water can be expelled from the sand. In the end, the three essential conditions for deep basin gas trap formation are suggested the source rock close to the reservoir stone, have strong generation gas ability and have suffered a rapid process of generating gas and the reservoir stone is compacted according to the result of experiment and the cases study. Only when the three factors match rightly, the deep basin gas trap can form.
