APPLICATION OF HIGH RESOLUTION SEQUENCE STRATIGRAPHY TO THE SHALLOW FORMATION DIVISION IN TURPAN-HAMI BASIN
|
Abstract:
Turpan-Hami basin is a multicycle and multiplex basin with the overriding characteristic of multistage and multitype, which has his characteristic distinction. Studies of the division and the correlation of Turpan-Hami basin by using the theory of high resolution sequence stratigraphy shows that the shallow formation of Cretaceous system-Tertiary system can be divided to six succession of strata. Three of which are hyper-perennial, the others are perennial, and the former five perennial succession of strata can be further divided to sixteen medium-term succession of strata.
