THE PREDICTION FOR T1f FRACTURE RESERVOIR OF CARBONATE ROCK IN THE MIDDLE-SOUTH ZONE OF TONGLUOXIA STRUCTURE
|
Abstract:
The reservoir mainly developed in the T_1f~1 and T_1f~3 oolite limestones, which was unambiguously characteristic of low porosity and flow permeability and belonged to fracture reservoirs. A single method was used to predict the fracture reservoirs in the past, such as the inversion of seismic velocity in common use etc, the prediction effect of which was relatively bad. This study combined curvature method with the inversion of STRATA for predicting the fracture reservoirs, the precision level of which was increased obviously. In particular, it made great improvement for conventional curvature methods. It respectively calculated line curvature and area curvature on all grid nodes, and picked up the maximal curvature for predicting the development areas of structural fracture through standardized processing. In a word, this comprehensive prediction method will have bright future in actual application.
