TECHNICAL GUIDELINE AT THE INITIAL STAGE OF EXPLOITATION OF A LARGE-SCALE MONO-BLOCK ABNORMAL OVER-PRESSURE GAS FIELD——TAKING KELA 2 GAS FIELD AS AN EXAMPLE
|
Abstract:
Kela 2 gas field, with the world-scale size, located in the north edge of Tarim basin, which is characterized with large-scale, mono-block, high gas column, abnormal over-pressure, high productivity, great difficulty in well completion, etc. It is necessary to evaluate the risk of production stabilization, to optimize the single well production rate, to make the field pressure under control, to precisely calculate the well controlled reserves, to maximum the utilization of nature energy in its initial exploitation stage. As the result, Kela 2 will be exploited in a higher efficiency. However, most field experiences indicate that there is a production rate risk in the exploitation of gas reservoir with abnormal over-pressure; the productivity will be usually evaluated optimistically since most in field testing data will support a higher productivity. Fortunately, this risk can be alarmed in advance through an integrated early stage evaluation technology, which includes gas production behavior analysis, gas wells performance evaluation, reservoir simulation tracking and performance dynamic forecasting. And then this risk factor can be avoid or reduced at least by the gas rate monitoring, adjusting and controlling. As the conclusion, to improve the management of abnormal over-pressure gas field, it is the key to calculate the technical guideline at the initial stage of exploitation.
