Gas hydrate is considered as an important energy resource, so its effective exploration and reasonable application will be crucial to the hydrate research. This paper introduces the feasibility of the replacement of CO2 for the methane from hydrate sediment through the thermodynamic and kinetic discussions. The method would provide a way benefiting both the natural gas industry and the environmental protection.
