THE APPRAISAL OF CAP FORMATION ENCLOSING CAPABILITY IN THE KELA 2 GAS FIELD BY ACOUSTIC LOGGING METHOD

At present the enclosing capability of cap formation was studied through traditional core analysis in the laboratory.Because of the limitation of experimental expenditure,amount of core hole and coring etc.,core analysis has such shortcomings as bad representation,long time needed and high expenditure.In this paper the enclosing capability of cap formation can be appraised by acoustic logging,the study indicates this method has overcome the shortcomings of traditional core analysis,and is good at appraising enclosing capability of cap formation of the Kela 2 gas field.This gas field's cap formation is mainly the first type and forth type cap formation,and the enclosing capability of cap formation is good.
