At present, the proportion of natural gas has reached 23. 2% in the world primary energy consumption composition,the ratio in equivalent calcula-tion between gas and petroleum production is 0. 7 to 1.natural gas has been one of the three energy pillars now. By comparison with that,owing to the factors, such as a little progress of natural gas exploration and development .far away consumption market from major gas output regions,grave backwardness of pipeline construction and market development. the develop-ment of natural gas industry in China has fallen be-hind from the world.the proportion of natural gas in only to 1.8% in China primary energy comsumption composition, the ratio in equivalent calculation be-tween gas and petroleum production is 0. 12 to 1. This paper will not only systematically analyze all kind of strategic problem that restlcts natural gas industry in China from developing.but also put forward the suggestions and measures to resolve these problems, in order to guide and promote natural gas industry in China to develop healthily and smoothly.
