THE BASIN-RANGE COUPLING IN THE EAST OF TARIM BASIN AND ITS OIL-GAS ACCUMULATION

Abstract:
Based on theories of continent dynamics, tectonic geology and petroleum system, and guided by basin structure analysis and basin sedimentary analysis, the auther studied on the coupling of TianShan and Aljingshan in the east of Tarim basin, the purpose of it is to investigate on the geotectonic evolution and its controlling on the oil-gas formation, and improved its oil-gas formation model. The results in the paper show, ever since Mesozonic, the basin-mountain exists close relationship. The tectonic is the main controlling factor not only for the sedimentary evaluation history, but also for the combination of hydrocarbon generation rock, reservoir, and its cap-rocks. The discovery of Jurassic coal measure emergence, provided reliable evidence for a new oil-gas formation model in the paper oil-gas accumulation mixed source and secondary model in the east of Tarim basin. The discovery of Jurassic coal measure emergence is very significant not only for the study of oil-gas geological conditions but also for its oil-gas source evaluation in the east of the Tarim basin.
