Current Status of Standardization on TCM Internationalization and Suggestions of Ongoing Work

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is one of the special life sciences with original thinking. Because of great benefits contained in TCM, international standards of TCM have become new focus in the international competition. In this article, main channels of TCM international standardization activities, such as ISO, WHO and interna tional academic association of TCM, and working progress of TCM international standard development have been reviewed. Then, existed problems in current work were analyzed. Suggestions were given on future work towards international standardization development in China and different channels of TCM.
