|
Abstract:
The patient-reported outcome, directly coming from patients, is a multi-dimensional measure to evaluate patient health. The data from such a outcome provides evidence of the effectiveness from the patient point of view. This article reviews the application of patient-reported outcomes in cancer study, and studies its application in evaluating cancer clinical trials, adverse events and compliance, formulating health policies, and approving new drugs. The relation between the health-related life quality and patient-reported outcomes is also discussed.
