THE RESEARCH ON MAIN CURVATURE METHOD APPLICATION IN CARBONATE GAS RESERVOIR''''S STRUCTURAL FRACTURE PREDICTION

Abstract:
In this paper, the authors discuss the theory and precondition when main curvature method is used for carbonate gas reservoir's structural fracture distributing prediction; educe the main curvature value calculating formula based on differential geometry; propose a method to calculate the critical main curvature value and establish a calculating model for main curvature method. With the Jialingjiang group Reservoir as a case, we predict Jia~3_2 and Jia~3_4 two zones' fracture distributing using this method. The results are concided with the field's geologic situation and producing facts, which shows the method's feasibility and rationality.
