EVALUATION AND SCALING THE HYDROCARBON SOURCE ROCK IN XIXIA FORMATION OF LOWER PERMIAN IN NANLING-WUWEI
|
Abstract:
The Xixia formation in Lower Permian is one of the main segments that contain hydrocarbon source rock. The organic enrichment of carbonate in this formation is not high as a whole in the profile. The average of the total organic carbon (TOC) is only 0.4%. The type of organic matter is main sapropel-type kerogen. The hydrocarbon source rock is in evolution stage of high maturation-over maturation. The organic geochemical analysis of the dense rock samples qurried in profile indicates that: There are 5 organic-rich members in upright profile. The average of total organic carbon (TOC) is over 0.4% and the total thickness is about 42 m. They are the segments that consisted of effective hydrocarbon source rock in Xixia formation.
