This article analyzes the international status quo of Chinese herbal medicines and sets forward the strategies, approaches and concrete measures in the march of traditional Chinese medicine on international arena in combination with the authors' practical working experience, e. i., first of all, it is considered to introduce to international representative markets such as those in the USA, herbal medicines which are elaborately prescribed and adapted to unique syndromes and have remarkable clinical effects; then a number of transnational pharmaceutical corporations are to be cultivated, which should become the principal organizations to push ahead the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine; and first - class research centers of Chinese herbal medicines - - - contractual research institutions are to be set up in order to provide technical guarantee for Chinese herbal medicines to march on international arena.
