Comments on conservation status of rare and endangered traditional Chinese medicine species

Abstract:
The paper summarized conservation status of rare and endangered traditional Chinese medicine species in China, in which concluded 34 medicinal plant species. As results of the summary, there have had great progress in TCM cultivation, and most of species can be provided to commercial requirements; ex-situ studies still need more attention; in-situ studies are lack of researches such as threaten mechanism etc. As conclusion, genetic biodiversity and threaten mechanism studies should be promoted to achieve successful ex-situ and in-situ.
