An Overview of Recent Study of YunQi Theory

The theory of YunQi is an important part of TCM doctrine. It reveals the relationship between the nature of human body and treating patients with TCM dialectic theory. This paper illustrates the principles of YunQi theory and it's applications, in an attempt to improve both TCM theory and clinical practices. In the past 50 years, some 500 papersand books on the topic have been published in China. Researchers have made detailed and systematic study of both basic theory and its applications in clinical environment, trying to interpret the theory in a scientific manner. Based on research findings, and our understanding of SuWen, we believe that YunQi Theory is an academic theory containing a string of the socalled notions that warrants further investigation.
