Thoughts and Constructed Exploration on Framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinical Terminology Classification Standardization
中医临床术语分类标准框架的思考与构建探索

In the development of current world trend of standardization on medical information, it is necessary to carry on the work of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinical terminology standardization. The framework of TCM clinical terminology classification standard is the basis for the standardization of Chinese medicine clinical terms. There is no precedent and specific guidance as reference in the field of traditional medicine both at home and abroad. We have researched foreign classification code standards such as the integration language system, SNOMED, ICD, and etc. Furthermore we have searched standardization works of TCM information. Through studying similarities and differences of characteristics of medical theoretical system and clinical diagnosis and treatment ideas in both TCM and modern medicine, and learning from construction pattern of SNOMED CT, we have explored the construction method of TCM clinical terminology classification standardization framework with unique TCM theory and subject characteristics.
