The Experimental Study on Vibration Control of Viscoelasticity Electromagnetic Active Dynamic Absorber
|
Abstract:
Electromagnetic absorber is a kind of actuators commonly used in industry and has various forms in design. In traditional design of electromagnet vibration absorber, elastic component is used frequently and placed between the electromagnet and permanent magnet. In this paper a new kind of active vibration absorber is developed. In difference from the commonly adopted design, the proposed absorber uses viscoelasticity material instead of the elastic component. After analyzing and calculating the actuating force between the electromagnet and the magnet, a model of the absorber is made. In order to validate the vibration absorption efficiency of the absorber, an experiment is established, this model is attached at the free end of a thin cantilever which is made of aluminum, the variational actuating force is used as the control force to suppress the vibration of the cantilever. The result of the experiment shows that this new absorber is effective in vibration control.
