Polysaccharides exist widely in both plants and animals.Numerous published studies have proved that these in- gredients possess diverse pharmacological activities.This article is a review of the latest progresses achieved in study- ing the pharmacological aspects of polysaccharides in TCM in the context of immunoregulation,anti-tumor,and lower- ing down blood glucose,hoping to provide more scientific evidences for polysaccharides studies.
