Establishment of Gastrointestinal Function Evaluation System and Its Application in Research on Incompatibility of Chinese Herbal Medicine

Evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract system function is a very important part for studying incompatibility of traditional Chinese medicine. This article focuses on gastrointestinal motility, secretion, absorption, barriers and microbiota, seeks to establish an evaluation system on gastrointestinal tract function which in accordance with the characteristics of Chinese herbal medicine incompatibility. And then, we discuss the possible mechanism of the incompatible herb combination interaction through the way of promoting or weakening gastrointestinal motility and secretion, affecting absorb process, influencing gastrointestinal barriers function, adjusting gastrointestinal environment and bacterial spectrum, with a view to provide support to research of Chinese herbal medicine incompatibility, seeks to establish a gastrointestinal function evaluation system which fitting to the character of Chinese herbal medicine incompatibility research.
