Study of Blood - tonifying Mechanisms of Siwutang of Traditional Chinese Medicine by Technology of TCM Moleculomics

Starting from the multiple functions of the compound preparations of traditional Chinese medicine and from the concept of whole treatment of traditional Chinese medical science, the authors of this article put forward a concept of " TCM Moleculomics", which holds that the compound of TCM are to exercise their functions of promoting the combination of signal molecules by the way of combining chemical composition and then restoring the network of inordinate signal molecules to their balance so as to attain the functions and effects of removing syndromes and curing diseases. The key technology of TCM moleculomics theory is composed of chemomics, genomics and proteinomics. It is found by making use of the strategy of TCM moleculomics that the material foundation of the blood - tonifying functions of Siwutang rest on polysaccharides, paeoniflorim, tetramethylpyrazime and ligustrazine and their molecular mechanism is based on the impact of Siwutang on the expression of cell factors related to hematopoiesis.
