Constitution in Chinese Medicine and Personality Influence Anxiety
中医体质、人格特质与焦虑的关系探讨——广州268名大学生问卷调查分析

This study aimed to explore the correlation of constitution, personality and anxiety. 268 university students were surveyed with Constitution in Chinese Medicine Questionnaire (CCMQ), SAS and NEO Personality Inventory. The data analyzed by correlation analysis and regressive analysis showed that (1) the anxiety students had worse constitutions than normal persons; (2) there is a strong correlation between anxiety, personality and constitution in Chinese medicine; (3) multi-regressive analysis found that anxiety= 0.205×depression of qi+0.172×deficiency of qi+0.290×Neuroticis+0.147×deficiency of yin in healthy persons, and anxiety= 0.202×phlegm-damp+0.317×Neuroticism+0.330×specialties in anxiety persons. Taken together, anxiety is simultaneously influenced by constitution and personality.
