Abstract:

This study was aimed to evaluate clinical therapeutic effect of precancerous lesion of gastric cancer (PLGC) with syndrome differentiation and treatment related with Xu-Shi (deficiency-excess) and Biao-Ben (branch-root). Patients with PLGC were selected and classified into the test group (n=100) treated by syndrome differentiation and treatment related with Xu-Shi (deficiency-excess) and Biao-Ben (branch-root), the control group (n=100) treated with western medicine. The treatment course of both groups was six months. Then clinical effect was evaluated. The results showed that the total clinical effective rate of the test group was 83.7%, and the control group was 68.2%. There was significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). There was no significant difference among five types of Xu-Shi (deficiency-excess) syndromes. Test group has significant effect in improving gastric distension, stomach pain, heartburn, loss of appetite (P<0.01, P<0.05). The pathological and gastroscopy effect of the total effective rate in test group and control group were 78.3% and 61.4%. It has statistical differences (P<0.05). It is concluded that syndrome differentiation and treatment related with Xu-Shi (deficiency-excess) and Biao-Ben (branch-root) has predominance in improving TCM symptom complex, clinical symptom, pathologic state and patient reported outcomes, Dys and IM degree relieving compared with the control group. It shows that TCM diagnosis and treatment is effective in the prevention of PLGC developed into gastric cancer.
