Experimental Study on the Feasibility of Dynamic Temperature Measurement Using a Single Wavelength Pyrometer
|
Abstract:
A type of single wavelength pyrometer used for temperature measurement of solid surface was improved and employed to measure the dynamic temperatures of flames.Three experiments were designed to check the feasibility of the pyrometer in this paper, namely the temperature measurement of layered flames of the black powder and the thermit, the comparison experiments of the single wavelength pyrometer and the thermocouple, and the dynamic temperature measurement of hydrogen-oxygen explosion in the shock tube. The results indicated that the measured temperature could be regarded as the highest temperature on the ray axis of the pyrometer when the size of the target was much larger than the field of view of the pyrometer;the measured values of the lighting flame by pyrometer and thermocouple were close, and the measurement error was less than 6.2%;the dynamic temperature curves of hydrogen-oxygen explosion measured by the pyrometer accord with the propagation laws of explosive flame well.It can be concluded that the improved single wavelength pyrometer can be used to measure the lighting flame's dynamic temperature.
