Effectiveness Assessment of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Treatment with Syndrome Differentiation based on Matrix Analysis Method
基于矩阵分析法的慢性萎缩性胃炎辨证论治疗效评价研究

This study was aimed to explore the application of matrix analysis method in the effectiveness assessment of syndrome differentiation and treatment. A total of 100 chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) cases were selected randomly from the Database of Deficiency-Excess and Branch-Root Syndrome Differentiation set up by the teamwork. All patients were classified into five syndrome differentiation patterns and treated from both the root and the branch of CAG with the treatment principle of nourishing the deficiency and reducing the excess. The treatment course was half a year. When the treatment course completed, the effectiveness value was calculated based on the variable measurement and error matrix of syndrome matrix, treatment matrix and effectiveness matrix model. The results showed that the effectiveness value of syndrome differentiation and treatment in improving CAG symptoms is between 0.4 and 0.6. It has statistical difference(P<0.05). It is concluded that the preliminary study showed that the matrix analysis method can be used for traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment effectiveness assessment.
