Experimental Study of the Mechanism of Foam Sandwich Material in an Anti-Blast Composite Structure
|
Abstract:
In this paper, mechanical properties, dynamic response and performance characters of a sandwich structure material with polyurethane foam core were briefly investigated first. Then, the main properties and working mechanism of the foam sandwich material in an anti-blast composite structure were studied based on the experiments of an anti-blast composite structure composed of reinforced concrete, steel plate concrete and foam sandwich, respectively. Results show that the mezzanine foam has a very good blast-wave attenuation function, and this attenuation function increases with the input pressure force increase. This property can transform the concentrated local pressure produced by explosion into a relatively evenly distributed whole pressure, thus makes a safe inner structure stress state. Above results may provide a technical reference for foam sandwich material application in protective engineering.
