There exist broad proad prospects of application in the introduction of receptor theory and experimental techniques into the study of traditional Chinese medicine starting from receptor and the biological effect of the taditional Chinese medicine (TCM) this article presents the assay of TCM biological effect, which aims at fimding out the effective mechanisms and material bases of effective Chinese drugs so as to achieve the standardization and normalization in the study on the quality of traditional Chinese medicine, and as the resu the discipline of TCM assay may directly serve clinic treament and the research and development of new Chinese drugs. In this article the basic theories and experimental techniques of receptor technology are described as well.
