Screening and Mechanism Study of Natural Products and Derivatives for Prevention and Cure of Neurodegenerative Diseases by Taking Microglia Activation as the Target

Microglia activation is associated with the occurrence and progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Thus, inhibition of microglial activation is generally considered a useful strategy for treatment of many neurodegenerative diseases. This paper reviews our research progress in the inhibitory effects of natural products including resveratrol, curcumin, resveratrol derivatives, curcumin derivatives and ginsenosides on microglia activation. This may provide a reference for the further exploration in this field.
